The Somerset Schools Athletics Championships held earlier this month in Yeovil saw an outstanding performance from Finn M, a Third Form pupil. Competing in the Pentathlon event, Finn delivered a series of remarkable achievements that have set him apart on a national level.
Finn ranks second in the country
Finn’s day was highlighted by his incredible performance in the 300m race, where he set a time that now ranks him #2 in the country. This impressive feat is a testament to his speed, endurance, and dedication to the sport.
Achieving new personal bests
In addition to his success on the track, Finn also excelled in the long jump, setting a massive new personal best with a jump that was 27cm further than his previous record. This achievement not only showcases his versatility as an athlete but also his ability to push his limits and achieve new heights.
