Joining Nursery at 2
Our caring and stimulating environment for two year olds provides a gentle introduction to school life, fostering curiosity, creativity, and confidence. With experienced staff and a play-based approach, we ensure every child feels safe, happy, and excited to explore the world around them.

If you would like to consider a place at King’s College Pelican Nursery, the first thing to do is to come and visit us. We would be delighted to give you a tour of the school.
Securing a place
If you think your child would enjoy Pelican Nursery, you can apply for a place by completing the online Registration Form.
Two year olds may enter the term they turn two, and after that, children may enter at any time throughout the year.
Starting at the nursery
Once your place has been confirmed, the Room Leader will contact you to arrange induction sessions – we usually have a minimum of two sessions.
For the first session, parents remain at the nursery and we gather and share information. For the second session, your child will stay here for a couple of hours to settle in. If all is well, your child begins their sessions after this.
The induction period can be extended to allow a longer settling-in period – likewise, it can be possible to arrange an instant start with no inductions. We can tailor this process to the unique needs of your family.
