King’s Prep U11 girls cricket team delivered an exceptional performance to be crowned IAPS Cricket Tournament runners-up 2026 showcasing impressive batting, disciplined bowling and outstanding teamwork throughout the competition.
Facing strong opposition in a highly competitive field, the team demonstrated confidence and composure at every stage. Their batting performances were particularly noteworthy, with players building partnerships and scoring consistently, while their bowling attack proved equally effective, maintaining pressure and taking key wickets at crucial moments.
This success reflects the significant progress made across the season. Games sessions have been carefully structured with a focus on developing core cricketing techniques, ensuring pupils build strong foundations in both batting and bowling. In addition, access winter nets has enabled players to refine their skills further, building both confidence and consistency ahead of the competitive season.
Under the expert guidance of Director of Sport, Pixie Foad, the team has developed into a cohesive and determined unit. The impact of their dedication and commitment to training was clear to see on the day, with every player contributing positively and supporting one another throughout the tournament.
Beyond their technical ability, the girls embodied the school’s values, demonstrating excellent sportsmanship and positivity both on and off the pitch. Their teamwork and encouragement of one another were key factors in their success, making their runners-up finish even more impressive.
Hosted at our Senior School site the tournament provided a fantastic opportunity to showcase both the quality of cricket on display and the spirit in which the game is played. We are incredibly proud of the U11 team for their achievement and look forward to seeing their continued development in the seasons ahead.
