We were delighted to open our gates and welcome grandparents of pupils from Pre‑Prep through to Prep for our highly anticipated Grandparents’ Day.
The event offered families the opportunity to visit our beautiful school and experience first‑hand where their grandchildren spend so much of their time learning, growing and developing into the best versions of themselves.
The afternoon began with a special assembly, filled with heartfelt poems and uplifting songs. Grandparents were then invited to join guided tours of the school, proudly led by their grandchildren. Together, they explored the outdoor spaces and fields, classrooms, favourite learning areas, and the exceptional facilities the children enjoy each day.
The celebrations concluded with afternoon tea and cake served on the school fields, offering grandparents the opportunity to relax together and enjoy the stunning surroundings. A special highlight was a beautiful piano performance by Gabriel, who played from the pavilion and provided a fitting musical accompaniment to the occasion.
Grandparents’ Day at King’s Prep was a wonderful celebration of the school’s close‑knit, family‑focused community, bringing generations together. The occasion reflected the spirit that makes King’s Prep such a special place, a place where children are encouraged to be children for just that little bit longer.
It was a pleasure to welcome our visitors into school, and to share the King’s Prep experience with them, and mark the important role family plays at the heart of our community.
