The King’s equestrian team were out in force at the weekend, competing in the NSEA County Show Jumping Qualifiers, a prestigious event that determines which riders will represent their county at the next stage of competition. These qualifiers are a key stepping stone towards the NSEA National Championships, where the best riders from across the country come together to compete at the highest level.
Our team delivered outstanding performances, with eight Prep pupils and two College pupils proudly representing the school. In the 70cm class, King’s riders claimed both the Somerset Team Champion and Runners-Up titles, with Oliver T crowned individual champion. The success continued in the 80cm class, where our riders again secured Team Champion and Runners-Up positions, and Clemmie SB took the individual title. In the 90cm class, King’s achieved Somerset Team Runners-Up, with Jess M earning the individual champion accolade.
These achievements mean that our riders have secured their places to represent Somerset at the NSEA County Championships, the next exciting stage in their equestrian journey. From there, they’ll aim for qualification to the NSEA National Championships, showcasing their talent on a national platform.
Congratulations to all our riders for their incredible effort and success!
