Emma M Selected to Represent Great Britain at 2025 Trampoline World Championships

Fourth Form pupil Emma M has earned a prestigious spot representing Great Britain at the 2025 FIG Trampoline Gymnastics World Age Group Competition and Junior World Championships, set to take place this November.

Emma, a dedicated member of the Whirlwinds Trampoline Club in Wellington, has been part of the junior GB squad for two years. Her selection follows a series of outstanding performances throughout the year, culminating in a personal best at the National Age Group Finals last weekend.

Qualification for the World Championships is fiercely competitive, relying on scores from key events including the British Spring Series qualifiers in Telford and the international World Cup in Coimbra, Portugal. In Coimbra, Emma delivered a standout performance, debuting a more complex routine in the final and securing gold.

Her final opportunity to qualify came at the National Age Group Finals, where the top 24 athletes competed. Emma rose to the occasion, delivering a personal best in her first routine and maintaining composure in the voluntary round to achieve the second-highest score recorded this year.

Balancing Trampolining and Academics at King’s College

Outside of competition, Emma trains rigorously three evenings a week and is also part of the Somerset Cricket EPP programme. She attends GB squad training weekends at Lilleshall, where she trains alongside senior athletes, including Olympic champion Bryony Page. Emma balances her athletic commitments in conjunction with her studies here at King’s College to ensure that her trampolining and academic programme are optimally aligned.

Emma will attend a pre-Worlds training camp at the end of October before departing for the Championships in November, with hopes high for another stellar performance on the international stage.

Her selection is a testament to her talent, discipline, and resilience. Well done, Emma, and good luck for the World Championships!
