Fifth Form pupil Brodie D has been selected to represent the Scotland U16 boys’ hockey team.
Brodie’s journey to national selection began with a late assessment opportunity within the junior Scottish programme. Impressing selectors with his skill and talent on the pitch, he was subsequently invited to join the prestigious Scottish Emerging Player Programme. His continued development and strong performances in training led to his selection for the Emerging Programme match against Ulster.
Following a standout performance in that fixture, Brodie earned a call-up to face the England U16 boys at Lilleshall, an exciting milestone in his sporting career. His upward trajectory continues as he prepares to represent Scotland at the 8 Nations Tournament in the Netherlands this summer.
At school, Brodie is a key player in the King’s College Boys’ 1st XI and is part of the College’s High Performance Programme.
Brodie will be joining our Director of Hockey to help lead a hockey camp on Saturday 23 August. The camp is designed for players who are new to the game as well as those looking to develop their skills further. His involvement will no doubt inspire and motivate the next generation of players.
