I am thrilled to be joining the King’s community as Head, leading the College to its sesquicentenary year in 2030 and beyond.
2026 marks my 29th year in schools. I have taught in some of the UK’s best schools (Oundle, Haberdashers Aske’s, Shrewsbury, Wellington College) as well as gaining valuable perspective through six years overseas in Australia.
King’s is a special place, and though I have spent only a short time at the College, it is clear there is a unique ethos to steward and protect. The King’s DNA is one of kindness and quiet achievement – not flashy but determined to punch above its weight.
I will bring a sense of purpose, pace, and pride. I am optimistic about the future. There has never been a more stimulating time to be educated, and by harnessing all that is best in modern education (including AI) we will create a nurturing yet challenging space for our pupils.
The full boarding ethos, whether pupils are full boarders are not, is evident at King’s. It is via the ideal blend of the analogue with the digital life that defines boarding schools as the perfect place to build lasting and meaningful relationships across the age range.
