Tennis

Our coaching programme caters for pupils of all abilities, from the year-round tournament player, to players with little experience.
Everyone is encouraged to play and improve their tennis. The aim of the programme is to develop mental, technical, tactical and practical skills required for the game and to enjoy the challenge of competition, both within school and externally.
The programme is led by a dynamic head of tennis. Specialist coaching is available throughout the year and aims to develop our tennis players in both singles and doubles. We have our own indoor facility and access to nearby courts to enable us to offer a year-round programme. Private one-to-one coaching sessions with a variety of experts are also available, tailored to level and need.
School singles and doubles tournaments, inter-house matches, competitions for pupils and parents, as well as OA fixtures also take place throughout the year.
Pupils who play at national and county level work with our coaching team each week to develop their skills and prepare them for future competitions.
Two former pupils recently left King’s after Sixth Form to join universities in the USA on Tennis Scholarships.
