Working at King's Schools

King’s Schools, Taunton, comprising of King’s Hall School and King’s College, are committed to providing a supportive working environment to all its members of staff, and we recognise that in order to achieve this it is important to attract, recruit and retain staff who share this commitment. In order to do this we offer a number of benefits to our staff including the following: a King’s Schools’ Royal London Defined Contribution Pension Scheme for all staff including salary exchange (NB: staff will not be able use the salary exchange if it would drop their wage below the National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage afterwards), competitive rates of pay – support staff* are on a minimum of the Real Living Wage from 1st April (currently £9.90 per hour), company sick pay scheme, and staff discount on school day fees.

*Excluding Apprentices

We welcome and promote diversity amongst our staff and we are committed to a policy of equal opportunity in all aspects of employment practice. All job applicants will be treated fairly and judged solely on their merits. Anyone who has a protected characteristic or from the Armed Forces (with a minimum of one year's service) who meet all the selection criteria required in the job specification will be guaranteed an interview. We strive to maintain a recruitment process that is open, honest and fair.
