THE PELICANS

Bringing the King’s College Prep community together

The Pelicans are all about fun, friendship, and fantastic events for parents, teachers, and friends of King’s College Prep. Think of them as your go-to crew for creating great memories—not a PTA, not a charity, just a friendly bunch making sure there are plenty of opportunities to get together throughout the year.

The Pelicans host a mix of small and big events, designed to bring people together in a relaxed and sociable setting. Every event is self-funded, and if there’s ever a surplus, they put it right back into making future events even better.

Want to Get Involved?

The Pelicans are led by the ‘Chief Pelican’, as well as a fantastic group of parents and a member of our Alumni and Development team. If you’d like to help to plan an event or have a brilliant idea for a new one, don’t hesitate to reach out to your Year Rep—they’d love to hear from you!

Join us, have fun, and let’s make every event one to remember!

KING’S COLLEGE PARENTS AND FRIENDS ASSOCIATION

Get Involved and Stay Connected

The Parents and Friends Association (PFA) is all about bringing parents together, building friendships, and supporting the school community. Whether you’re a new or long-standing parent, the PFA offers a fantastic way to connect, get involved, and make a difference.

What the PFA Do

  • Host Social Events – From lively gatherings to special interest activities, the PFA organise one major event per term, plus smaller meet-ups throughout the year.
  • Welcome New Families – The PFA is here to help parents feel at home at King’s, whether it’s at Open Mornings or informal get-togethers.
  • Run the Second-Hand Uniform Shop – A practical and sustainable way to help families.
  • Support School Initiatives – They aim to bring fresh ideas and enthusiasm to enhance school life for pupils and parents alike.

Join the PFA

The PFA is led by a friendly, welcoming committee, and is always excited to meet new parents who’d like to get involved. Our meetings are informal and often coincide with school events, so why not drop in, share your ideas, or simply enjoy a coffee with fellow parents?

As a King’s parent, you’re already part of the PFA—but if you’d like to play a more active role, we’d love for you to join the committee!

Interested? Have ideas? We’d love to hear from you! Please contact your Year Rep.
