Community Engagement at King’s College

ENRICHMENT EVENTS AT THE PREP SCHOOL

At King’s College Prep School, we offer a variety of enrichment events that bring together current pupils and those from outside the school. These events focus on specific areas of study and practical application, such as Science and STEM, languages, fantasy fiction for English, and creative writing. These opportunities allow pupils to explore their interests deeply and collaboratively, they also build solid partnerships with our local friends within the community.

OUTREACH PROGRAMME AT THE SENIOR SCHOOL

Our Senior School runs an extensive outreach programme. These workshops, led by our dedicated heads of departments, cover subjects such as Art and Music. This initiative provides our local community with access to our facilities and expertise, solidifying a spirit of collaboration and shared learning for the benefit of all.

COMMUNITY LINKS

At King’s, from Year 9 onwards, pupils are given the opportunity to get involved in community work, partnering with local organisations to volunteer and make a meaningful impact.

This hands-on involvement helps pupils to learn the value of compassion and experience the satisfaction that comes from contributing to a better world.

These community links are just one of the many ways we enrich our school experience. Pupils often share how these opportunities not only enhance their education but also help them grow into well-rounded, empathetic individuals.

We believe that by engaging in such meaningful work, our pupils develop a strong sense of social responsibility and a genuine desire to make a positive difference. This is the kind of environment we foster at King’s, where every child has the chance to thrive and become a compassionate member of society.
