HEAD’S WELCOME
At King’s, we are committed to ensuring that every young person has the opportunity to unlock their potential, regardless of background or circumstance.
Welcome to King’s College Taunton
Welcome to King’s College, where we don’t just educate – we inspire. Building on a legacy of academic excellence and personal growth, we are dedicated to unlocking the full potential of every individual pupil.
Located on two stunning sites in the beautiful county of Somerset, our rich history dates back to 1880. Every pupil here is seen, valued, and nurtured within a close-knit, supportive community where confidence, happiness, and respect thrive. With a family-oriented culture, a Christian ethos, and a deep-rooted commitment to our local community, we provide the ideal environment for children to flourish – whether starting at Pelican Nursery or finishing in the Sixth Form.
Our reputation for academic excellence is built on small class sizes, expert teaching, and a relentless focus on developing the whole pupil. We challenge our pupils to be intellectually curious, work collaboratively, and embrace the risks that lead to success. We are committed to shaping young people who are not only academically accomplished but also ready to make their mark on the world.
I invite you to explore this website and discover the spirit of our wonderful school. But nothing compares to a personal visit – we look forward to welcoming you in person soon.
Michael Sloan
Executive Headmaster

“This is a happy, nurturing school with a wide range of opportunities there for the taking, whatever your child’s interests and abilities.”
