AIMS & ETHOS
Our Aims & Ethos
At King’s we seek to empower pupils to challenge themselves intellectually to learn and grow, and most importantly to develop a lifelong love of learning for it’s own sake, not simply to pass an exam.
With small class sizes, alongside exceptional learning and pastoral care focused on developing the whole child, King’s commands a strong academic reputation. That’s also because during formative years and beyond we expect and encourage curiosity, teamwork, excellence, endeavour and risk-taking.
Pupils of all ages are encouraged to embrace the rich and diverse co-curricular and hobby programmes on offer, to step out of their comfort zone and enhance their confidence to become more robust, fulfilled and content versions of themselves.
Throughout their journey with us, pupils remain grounded, respectful and open-minded to the world around them.
SCHOOL ETHOS
At King’s, we celebrate a diverse community that includes individuals of all faiths and none.
We encourage our school community to explore their understanding of themselves and the world through a rich programme of academic, cultural, sporting, and social activities.
All faiths are embraced at King’s, ensuring that pupils receive the support and freedom to practice their religious choices appropriately. Recognising the importance of religious literacy, opportunities are provided for pupils to study and explore the world’s great faith traditions in a formal academic setting.
Within our schools, pupils are always encouraged to have the courage to explore the world and its faiths, helping them to develop as well-rounded citizens ready to make a positive impact in the world.
    OUR MISSION
To inspire a lifelong love of learning, creativity and courage in every child within a nurturing and joyful community. We develop confident, resilient, collaborative and compassionate individuals, through a comprehensive education and outstanding pupil support that’s enriched by innovative technologies and grounded in humanity.

We aim, in our pupils of all ages, to inspire a lifelong love of learning through the following core values:
            Community
Respect is the fundamental basis of all communities and the King’s community is no exception.
