We are delighted to announce the appointment of Sammy Kemmish as our new full-time Head of Netball from September 2021.

Sammy brings with her a wealth of playing and coaching experience. Attending school locally in Somerset, Sammy has a background playing netball to a high level, leading to her rapid elevation through the local and regional coaching ranks. As well as having worked as a Development Officer for England Netball, Sammy is currently coaching regional and Somerset teams in the area and also coaches for the Somerset Netball Academy as the Taunton Satellite Head Coach.

As well as heading up netball at King's College, Sammy will also be working alongside our sports staff at King's Hall, focusing on consistency in coaching across both schools.

We are really excited about not only enhancing our already excellent coaching provision at King's but also the links she has with the local netball scene which will hopefully encourage even more of our netballers to engage and play for the local clubs and high performance programmes.

Our Director of Sport, Phil Lewis, said: “We are really excited that Sammy is joining our thriving sports department and we can’t wait for her to get stuck in to coaching and developing our netball players across both King’s College and Kings Hall.”

He added: "I'd like to thank Imogen Pardoe, who is stepping down from the role after a long and successful period heading netball at King's. I know she's sad to be stepping back, but is looking forward to spending more time teaching, and with her young family."
