At the end of term, we held our annual ceremony to celebrate the hard work and achievements of our pupils, with categories ranging from academic prizes and sporting achievements to awards for outstanding contribution to school life.
The Turner Twins returned to present the prizes and Ross gave an inspiring speech about the spirit of adventure.
During the ceremony, seven pupils were awarded the Michael Baker Travel Award. This was after successful application to the Headmaster and the monitory prize is intended to cover travel costs as pupils embark on their independent gap year. Three excellent projects were worthy winners this year, with trips planned to the Pyrenees, Vietnam and Kenya.
This was Mr Sloan’s first speech day and the culmination of an exiting first year as Headmaster. He reflected that the occasion was both an opportunity to pause and reflect on the past as well as wish those leaving King’s a fond farewell.
As is traditional on Parents' Day, we had numerous accolades to award. Below is a complete list of all of this year’s winners:
