It was wonderful to have the full suite of our end of year events operating as we would wish them to be - full houses for shows, Prize Days, fêtes, farewells and end of year lunches and celebrations. The last week or so of such key annual events has reminded us how much we missed them and how integral they are to our sense of belonging.

As usual, it was fun all round from the Pre-Prep show on Thursday, and at Friday’s Prize Day, we were delighted to be joined by Jane Brazier. She was brilliantly wise with her insights for growth, delivering the message with great clarity which was accessible to all ages, finding the correct pace, with enough detail that didn’t overwhelm. Articulating her point with simple visual aids, giving advice of great importance and value, at no stage was she preaching or patronising: Jane would make quite a good teacher don’t you think?!

These events always ilicit emotion, and toward the end of the day on Friday, more than one parent commented on this. It’s a good thing to be taken to our core every so often and have what matters to us amplified back.  Having something resonate so strongly with our fundamental inner values reassures us that all is well with the important stuff whilst there are many other challenges in the world.
