King’s Hall were successful at the Regional IAPS U11 cricket festival held at Queens College, winning all 4 of their 8-a-side cricket matches.

On Tuesday 17th May our U11 boys team went to Queens College for the always exciting IAPS cricket festival.  The day consists of 4 matches of 8 overs each, so it is extremely high paced and exciting.  They had some great early victories against Queens College & Clifton College, thanks in particular to some strong batting from Theo J, Wilbur M & Humphrey C-S dominating their partnerships in the pairs format.

Good contributions from all the team with bat and ball were needed against a strong Bristol Grammar School team, led in the field by some brilliant wicket-keeping from Theo H. In the final game as rain clouds were approaching, King’s Hall batters made sure a big total was scored against Hazlegrove, and Will T with 3 wickets in an over meant a 4th victory was achieved, finishing in heavy rain.

It was a very enjoyable and successful day for the team and thanks go to Queen’s College for hosting, and IAPs for organising. Both our coaches and other coaches noted how well every pupil contributed to the success of King's Hall and how humble they were in victory.
