Under 14 Girls Through to Regional Netball Competition
Our Under 14 netball team have won their way through to the regional finals after finishing runners up in the National Schools Somerset County Tournament.
The girls played three matches in the knock out stage of the tournament, beating Wellington and Haygrove before losing out narrowly to local rivals Taunton School.
In the semi-final our girls met Millfield, where they held their nerve against strong opposition who contested every ball vigorously and didn't leave much margin for error.
After beating Millfield in the final, King’s came up against Taunton again, where, despite trying their utmost, the girls lost to a better team.
Team coach Rebecca Stone said: “They worked hard, acted on every coaching point, and deserve their success. We look forward now to the regionals in January!”
