Representative Success for King's Rugby Players
Over recent months, a large number of King’s College rugby players have enjoyed representative success across the age groups.
At U14 level, Charlie Sharland, George Thomas, Joe Eakhurst and Tim Roberts have been involved in the National 7s Academy and will be attending a training camp at Epsom College over the summer.
U15 Players, Will Tothill, Harry Smeed and Ethan Jordaan have been playing for the Bristol Rugby Academy in the Premiership Academy Festival in Cleve, while Henry Smeed, Michael Bray and Billy Turner were all members of the Bristol Academy Tour to Portugal. Fourth Form pupil Hugo Larkin has also been playing as a member of the National 7s Academy.
At U16 level, Milo Blakey, James White, Joe Messenger and Will Brooke Webb played for the Independent School Lambs against Gloucester Academy, with Will also touring North Wales with the Lambs. During this tour, he scored in every game.
At U17 level, Gabe Mead and Archie Frith-Fletcher have played in Bristol Academy matches, while Oli Walrond played for Somerset.
U18 player Dan Luedicke also played for the Independent Schools Lambs against Crawshays Invitational XV.
Director of Rugby, Ed Lewsey said: “All of these players deserve full credit for their efforts and endeavours. We are delighted that our players are challenging themselves at a higher level with many aspiring to be professional players in the future.”
He added: “We hope that these players can impart some of the knowledge and experience to their peers at King’s.”
