Brothers Top the Bill in Regional Squash Tournament
Two brothers from King's Schools, Thomas and James Rew, have had a highly successful result in the recent South West Regional Closed Squash Championships at the Victoria Club and Millfield School in Street.
James, who is 15, attends King’s College, and won the Boys Under 17s Championship, beating Finn Irish of Cornwall in the final. James had also previously won the Somerset County Championships at the end of last month.
His younger brother Thomas, who is 12, and goes to King’s Hall, followed on from winning the Devon County Under 13 title last month, triumphing in the Boys’ South West Regional Closed Championship, beating Ollie Gribble of Devon in the final.
Both boys were playing a 'year up' in this competition, and neither lost a game in any of their matches.
The brothers are talented all-round sportsmen and play cricket for their relevant Somerset age group teams, as well as for Taunton St Andrews and both golf to a high standard.
We look forward to hearing more from the pair as the year progresses.
