The Event

The West of England Rugby Sevens is a collaborative effort between King’s College, Queen's College and Taunton School, taking place on Sunday 10 February.

The U14 matches will take place at King's College.

The U16 matches at Queen's College and the U18 matches at Taunton School.

U14 Event

Parking for parents and spectators will be in the Front Square of the main school building.

Minibuses are asked to use the Holway Road entrance, and parking will be provided behind the astros. Signs will be in place to direct you to the right area of the school.

Staff and officials are asked to park by our Finance Office accessed from our Holway Avenue entrance.

Registration: Please register each of your teams at least 30 minutes before your first Kick off time.

Please print out and complete registration form and present this when you arrive.

No. of players: 7 a-side – max 14 players per squad.

All ages

All games, 7 minute each way. 1 min half-time. Games will be started with a central hooter. Games are started and ended with hooter, however players should finish on the ref’s whistle, not the hooter.

In result of serious injury where player cannot be quickly removed from pitch, current score will count as result.

Scoring team restarts; no squeeze ball at the ruck; uncontested LOs

Please submit dates of birth when registering. The 1st Sep is the age boundary, e.g. 14yrs old before 1st Sep cannot play.

No place kicks. Conversions and restarts are drop kicks.

Captains: please do toss with pitch marshall prior to scheduled start time of your game.

Group stage: In result of two teams tied at end of group stage, head to head winner proceeds, if drawn then greater points difference across all pool games proceeds.

Knock out stage: In result of draw at full time, sudden death extra time ensues

Referees: Referees provided.

All refs will be given scorecards for each game by the pitch marshall which will be retrieved by pitch marshall after the game.Discipline: Red cards issued by referees. Player will be forbidden to play in the rest of the tournament. Yellow cards = 2min sin bin
