U6th Horizon Lectures

Organised by English teacher Emma Forward, our Horizon Lectures are offered to our Upper Sixth Form (U6th). Pupils enjoy a weekly lecture, timetabled into a Friday lunchtime. Speakers from all walks of life give a lecture on their specialism. The programme is extremely varied: from the basics of philosophy, to war photography; from forensic dentistry to stone balancing.

Through this series, pupils are challenged to think about areas of interest they may never have encountered, or expand their understanding of something they already knew.

At King’s we understand that learning is one of the most enjoyable and rewarding parts of life. Our intention is that the young adults in the U6th become more knowledgeable, more curious, more interesting, and more interested people through their experience of these lectures.
