  • “The 1880 Club allows us simply to do more with and for our pupils by providing equipment that enhances the participants experience and allows staff greater scope in the planning of adventurous activities. ”

  • “The 1880 Club creates great opportunities and experiences for our time at King’s and helps the school become an even happier and better place than it is already.”

Join Us in the Joy of Giving

We love King’s College and everything it stands for in a turbulent world. Join the 1880 Club today, right now ideally, to participate in the future prosperity of your alma mater.

The Club aims to make regular giving more widespread among OAs, staff and friends. Giving a little each month (e.g. £1.88) or through an annual payment (e.g. £188) has a hugely positive impact on the future of the College. Given the tradition of philanthropy at King’s, we have named the Club ‘1880’ after the date of the College’s foundation.

What We Do With Your Money

What We Do With Your Money

We meet regularly with the pupils, house parents and teachers to discuss how to make the King’s experience even better. Together we have identified several items as enhancements, which sit outside the provision of the School’s day-to-day budget.

Your generosity will be put towards one of these projects and will mean an immediate benefit to all areas of school life.

ENHANCING KING'S PROJECTS
  • “We are extremely grateful for the funding from The 1880 Club, as this has enabled us to launch the Howard Biology Society, carry out a wealth of dissection experiences, and buy items such as the suturing kits and the DNA extraction kit. With The 1880 Club’s support in the next academic year we will be able to continue to develop the hands-on materials available to the pupils and purchase further dissection equipment and specimens. We also hope to delve into the world of genetics and mutations by breeding some fruit flies!”
    - Dr Rebecca Stone Head of Biology

Personal Details

If you are a UK tax payer, using Gift Aid means that for every £1 you give, King’s School’s can reclaim 25p from HMRC, helping your donation go further.

I confirm I have paid or will pay an amount of Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax for each tax year (6 April to 5 April) that is at least equal to the amount of tax that all the charities that I donate to will reclaim on my donations in that tax year, and I further understand that if I pay less tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year it is my responsibility to pay any difference. I further understand that if I pay Income Tax at a rate higher than the basic rate and want to receive additional tax relief, I must include all my Gift Aid donations on my Self-Assessment tax return or ask HMRC to adjust my tax code. Until I notify you otherwise, I want to be treated as Gift Aid:

This donation only
This donation and other donations I've made during the current and last four tax years
This donation, other donations I've made during the current and last four tax years, and all future donations
Sorry, I am not eligible for Gift Aid
By clicking 'Join the Club' above, you are agreeing to the terms of our Privacy Policy and Online Payment Terms.

Gift Aid repayments from HMRC will be used for the same purpose as the donation on which the Gift Aid is collected.

Please notify the Development Office if you:

  • want to cancel this declaration
  • change your name or home address
  • no longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains
