Ten Tors success

It was a hugely successful weekend for all the King's participants in this year's Ten Tors Challenge on Dartmoor. The junior team consisting of William Jasper, Lloyd Griffiths, Archie Rose, George Chapman, William Johnson and Robert Ellis completed the 35-mile course, while David Richmond, Tom Smith, Luke Gavin, Harry Canning, Hattie Cunningham and Tom Lawson completed the 45-mile course. The senior team of Tom Dunham, Tom Walters, Tom le Gallais, Grant Little, Chris Morris and Charlie Marr performed the extraordinary feat of walking for 55 miles across the moors in two days. All our pupils completed the course, and all in excellent times.

Headmaster Richard Biggs said "The walkers I am sure will join me in thanking the members of staff who trained and supported them so effectively. We have an outstanding tradition in the Ten Tors event, a well-earned reputation for doing things properly, for being well-prepared, extremely well-kitted out, well-supported and, ultimately, very successful. I congratulate them all."
