Swimming v Clifton and Plymouth College

This was a very pleasing start to the season, with the team recording 16 personal bests. The senior
boys had some tough opposition; however, stand-out performances came from Alex Raleigh winning the 50 metre breaststroke, and Owen Griffiths winning the 50 metre backstroke. For the junior boys Howard Hollis comfortably won the 100 metre medley and the 50 metre backstroke, whilst massive personal bests were achieved by Freddie Barker in the 50 metre backstroke and James Duncan in the 50 metre breaststroke.
The girls did equally well, in particular Lucy Chapman winning both the 50 metre freestyle and backstroke in personal best times. Both Ginny Nash and Lara Clark sliced chunks off their 50 metre freestyle times. The biggest personal best of the day was the five seconds Fleur Netley took off her 50 metre backstroke!
