Swimming v Blundell's, Clifton, Sherborne

This was an afternoon of outstanding team performances, given so many swimmers were unavailable due to other school commitments and illness, with King's overall just narrowly coming second to Blundell's. The
girls did really well against some talented opposition, with Charlotte Parris winning both the 100m individual medley and the 25m butterfly, whilst Lucy Chapman won the 50m backstroke. The senior girls did well with Heather McKenzie winning the 50m backstroke and Lucy Barker winning the 50m breaststroke. The junior girls won both the 4 x 25m medley and freestyle events.
Among the top individual winners for the boys was Howard Hollis who swam up an age group to win both the 100m individual medley and the 50m backstroke. Freddie Barker won the 50m backstroke, and James Walsh won the 50m breaststroke. The junior boys also won the freestyle relay, and King's won the 8 x 25m cannon event. Overall a great effort, with 19 personal best times being set.
