Girls Tennis v Queen's
It was an excellent performance from the King's senior teams, winning all three of their matches. The 1st VI had some competitive games, but we played superbly to our opponent's weaknesses. Hattie Cunningham, Jodie Burrows, Louise Webber and Alex Taylor didn't drop a set all afternoon. For the 2nds there was some terrific tennis from Alex McKean, Heather McKenzie, Hatti Mason and Jossie Zilkha, who all won three sets each. The 3rds ran out convincing 7-2 winners, with Rebecca Potter and Anna-Sophie Oertzen losing only six games in their three sets. The Under 15s won a very exciting and competitive fixture, eventually coming out on top by 7-2. Charlotte Palmer and Tory Clark in particular played some outstanding tennis. The Bs had a really exciting match, playing a mixture of doubles and singles. We played with great determination, and managed to win all our sets.
The Under 14s had some very close games, with many of them going to deuce. There was some very exciting tennis to watch, and we were unlucky to go down 4-5. The Bs managed to win lots of individual games, but overall only one set. The match was played in a positive spirit though.
