Girls Tennis v Blundell's

We were missing several players due to an Open Day at Cardiff, but we still managed to honour the fixture and field four senior teams. Alex Taylor and Holly Domellof played superbly for the 1st VI, winning all their matches, and only dropping five games out of 18. Hattie Cunningham and Jodie Burrows played particularly well in beating the Blundell's 1st pair 6-3. Charis Elphinstone and Emma Clyde-Smith were an impressive unbeaten partnership for the 2nds, and all the 2nds' pairs beat their equals.

Caroline Lloyd and Harriet Butterfield won all their games for the 3rds, and the other pairs each managed a win, so King's secured a well-deserved victory overall. Rebecca Turner and Rebecca Potter played brilliantly for the 4ths, wining all their matches without dropping a single game. A big thank you to Alex Ihde, Katie Butler and Rebecca Doyle for turning out for the 4ths - without them we wouldn't have been able to field a team.

Both Under 15 sides showed some encouraging passages of play, which augurs well for the rest of the season. The Under 14s had a terrific first victory at King's, running out eventual winners by 6-3. The Bs had a desperately close fixture, just losing out in the end 4-5.
