Girls Tennis v Queen's
The 1st VI looked a little ring rusty, but we gradually got stronger throughout the afternoon. Each pair took one set, and the rest were fiercely contested. It was a very gritty performance from the 2nds, especially Danni Taylor and Sarah Gardener, who took all three of their sets, without conceding more than two games. As this was the final senior fixture of the season, a big thank you to captain of tennis Charlotte Butterfield for all her help with organisation, and for setting the right example on court. The Under 15s now stand just one game away from a fabulous unbeaten season, with this excellent 9-0 whitewash. A difficult surface meant the Bs couldn't really show their best tennis. The pairings of Harriet Butterfield and Caroline Lloyd, and Emma Clyde-Smith and Rebecca Turner, did especially well in not dropping a single set.
The Under 14s find themselves on something of a winning streak with this fine victory. A friendly but highly competitive fixture saw most games filled with lengthy rallies. Elle-Louise Domellof and Jossie Zilkha didn't drop a set all afternoon, while Hollie Bell and Kate Taylor took two from three.
