Girls Tennis v Millfield
It was a narrow loss for the 1st VI, but a re-thinking of pairings brought positive results. The new combination of Charlotte Butterfield and Katie Vickers at first pair won all three of their sets. A solid all-round performance by the 2nds ensured a convincing win. Each pair contributed two wins, but the stand-outs were Alex McKean and Freya Broughton, who won all three. It was a tough match for the 3rds, with Millfield showing more depth. Alex Mason and Anna Bury enjoyed a good two sets win though. The Under 15s march on in their unbeaten season so far with a near whitewash. Alex Taylor and Holly Domellof dropped only two games all afternoon, while Charis Elphinstone and Isabel Petri played out of their skins to beat both the 1st and 2nd Millfield pairs, and had used up so much energy they ended up dropping their third set! The Bs too enjoyed a comfortable win, never really looking under any pressure. Caroline Lloyd and Harriet Butterfield managed a clean sweep.
Jossie Zilkha and Elouise Domellof played their best tennis yet for the Under 14s, and thoroughly deserved their two from three sets. There was plenty of spirit and potential on show throughout.
