National award for DT department

Our Design and Technology department has won The 2006 Good Schools Guide A Level Award for independent schools. This award recognises and celebrates exceptional teaching by the DT department, based on three years best A Level results in DT Product Design. Ian Lundie, head of DT, is delighted to see the enthusiasm and creativity of his students rewarded in this way. "It has also been a concerted effort over the past three years from all members of our DT department who strive to inspire our students to create more innovative products."

The King's DT department is as popular and successful as ever, attracting a record number of students to study DT at A Level. This academic year has seen more girls applying than before, a trend welcomed by the department.
