In a great day's athletics held at the Yeovil Athletics Arena, King's came away with an impressive haul of seven gold medals. Charlie MacLean ran a huge personal best in winning the 1550m steeplechase, and later added the Intermediate pole vault to his list of county titles, with another personal best. Terry Addo won the Senior Boys shot, and Lee Paisley won the Senior Boys high jump.

Victoria Canning defended her title as county champion in the Intermediate Girls sprint hurdles, and Maddie Hinch won both the Senior Girls discus and javelin. Amongst other notable performances, Graham Giles added five metres to his personal best in coming second in the Intermediate Boys discus, Matt Peek jumped a personal best in his pole vault competition, and Ben Phillips came second in a highly competitive Intermediate Boys 800m.

Maddie Hinch, Lee Paisley, Terry Addo, Hugo Turner and Charlie MacLean all now go on to the South West Championships, Maddie and Hugo as Somerset team captains.
