County Championships

King's came away from the Somerset Schools County Championships with an impressive six gold medallists, who are now county champions in their track or field discipline. There were another five silver medallists, and four bronze.

County champions for 2006 are Maddie Hinch in both the discus and javelin, Olivia Nash in the high jump, Victoria Canning in the hurdles, Hugo Turner in the discus and Lee Paisley blazing the trail in the pole vault.

They now go on to represent Somerset in the South West Championships at Exeter on Saturday 17th June, with national recognition in the English Schools firmly in their sights.
