Our Sporting Ethos

The school’s sporting ethos is built on the ideals of a healthy and balanced lifestyle, respect and discipline, and of course, enjoyment. Some of our pupils are performing at county or national levels, others play for our B, C or D teams, but all throw themselves into their sport with gusto.

Cricket scholars can expect to attend regular individual and group training sessions, strength and conditioning workshops and video analysis classes.

Girls’ cricket at King’s keeps going from strength to strength, with pupils training regularly throughout the year.

The recent opening of our Sports Performance and Cricket Centre (SPCC) has opened many doors for our players, who practise under the guidance of our specialist coaches

Inspiring the Next Generation of Female Cricketers

Based at SCCC, local team Western Storm are already inspiring the next generation of female cricketers. We will soon be hosting their development sessions in our own newly built indoor cricket facility. Along with aspirations to follow in the footsteps of former pupil Georgie Adcock (Somerset Ladies), our girls will be eagerly monitoring Western Storm's progress.
