Millfield Dressage
On Sunday 5th October in beautiful sunshine a group of King's riders headed off to Millfield for the Dressage competition. Holly Davis, Hattie Harrison and India Knott all got up early to get their horses ready and learn the Dressage tests! Holly and her young horse Willow rode two really pleasing tests. Willow is still very young and she is at the end of a very busy season. Holly has made wonderful progress with her horse this year and we are looking forward to next season when the combination will back after their winter rest.
Hattie and Aphra continued their success with a very pleasing 3rd place class 2 after riding very calm and accurate tests for the Novice 28. Later in the day, after a long wait between classes and a chance for Holly to revise for her MOI for CCF the next day, we rode in class 1 and tried our best to produce a good test for the Novice 28. India Knott rode two horses in this class and produced such a stunning display of riding she went into the lead for a majority of the class. With just the final few riders to go she was overtaken and finally gained 4th place. Holly and Hattie also rode lovely tests but they were just out of the placings in what turned out to be a very competitive and high scoring class.
Well done once again to all the girls. We had a super day at Millfield and it was great to return once again with rosettes!
