Hockey v Sherborne
The 1st XI dominated much of their game, but failed to put away their chances. Leading 3-2 and the game seemingly in the bag, lapses in concentration let Sherborne in for two quick goals as we snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. After going a goal behind, the 2nds equalised soon after with a well-taken goal created by Alex Rodgers and put away by Holly Domellof. A similar second half saw Lucy Barker having to equalise again, after a good move started by Rosie Main. The Under 15 Bs gave an excellent team performance but in the end had to yield to strong opposition. The Under 14s though had an outstanding win. The team has really gone from strength to strength in recent weeks, and their hard work produced its just rewards. Connie Holmes did a fine job in defence stepping up form the Bs, and player of the match Tori Clark showed great vision and distribution skills at the bottom of the diamond. Although trailing 3-2 in the second half, King's battled back, to claim victory with goals from Lucy Sharp, Megan Ameye, and a brace for Isabelle Germain.
