Meet the House Team – Taylor
Mrs Emma Edwards is the housemistress (starting in September 2015) in Taylor house and lives in Hareston, about 500 yards from Taylor on the school site. She lives there with her husband Andrew (Head of Geography) and their two children, Archie (8) and Hattie (4) who attend King’s Hall School. The Edwards also have a friendly cairn terrier called Puddles.
Emma has had 15 years of experience in a boarding school and has been a housemistress before. She also teaches music and is Head of Riding. Emma would like all the girls to feel able to come and see her about anything. The kettle is always on!
Miss Emma Forward is the deputy housemistress and lives in Taylor house just above the Third Form dorms. She is also an English teacher and a Fourth Form tutor this year.

Mrs Julie Gillingham is our house matron. She wakes the girls up in the mornings, checks they're keeping their areas tidy, makes sure beds are changed on the right day, and is also a friendly ear if a chat is needed.
This year's Taylor house captain, Darcey Lindsay-Smith, has been a King's boarder since joining in the Third Form. Coming from a military family she lived in America when she joined, but now lives in Salisbury. Darcey has three younger brothers; two of these are also pupils at King's. Her fun loving and sociable nature will help shape an all-inclusive approach to house events and continue to make it a fun place to live.
