Netball v West Buckland

The 1st VII dominated from the start and created some fine passages of play, with some terrific movement and shooting by Issy Germain and Holly Domellof. The defence was solid, with Hattie Cunningham voted player of the match for her fantastic interceptions. The 2nds matched West Buckland goal for goal in the first half until just before half-time, when we found ourselves three goals behind. After the interval we allowed the opposition to turn over too many centre passes, but as the game wore on our play became more composed and determined. Stand out players were Jodie Burrows and Amelia Evans.

The Under 15s found themselves three goals down early on, but we fought our way back into a three-goal lead by half-time. The game swung backwards and forwards, with each side matching the other's goals, but we dominated the final quarter, and deserved our win. It was an evenly matched Under 14 game, with the team showing excellent movement around the court, resulting in a lot of turnover balls. This was a really good team effort from everyone.
