Netball v Stoodley Knowle
In very difficult conditions, the 1st VII played some excellent netball, using the court well and working together as a team. With some great shooting by Holly Domellof and typically disciplined defence, we controlled the final quarter to win 21-18 - Hattie Cunningham played with great energy and drive all afternoon. The 2nds endured a lacklustre game in dismal weather, with the rain making it hard to keep possession. Megan Ameye though lifted our game with some spirited play when she came on as sub.The Under 15s were up against a mixed team from Stoodley that included some sixth formers, but in spite of the weather we remained focused throughout, and there was some excellent defending by Charlotte Dathan. Eventually, we turned over enough ball to run out winners by the narrowest of margins, 11-10.
The Under 14s found it difficult to read the opposition's play, which affected our ability to play with our usual fluency and style. Effort levels remained high though, despite testing conditions. The Bs started strongly as usual, with Jess Spiers and Minnie Taylor consistently converting our attacking moves. Stoodley came back into the match later on in the afternoon, but we managed to hold on to our lead, winning 11-10.
