Netball v Millfield

The 1st VII had a tightly-fought first half, which ended with us just one goal in the lead, Hilary Moorhead and Emma Clyde-Smith ensuring that the defence remained solid. Later in the game our play became a little rushed, and we turned over too many balls - man of the match Hilary Moorhead. The 2nds started strongly, but Millfield soon came back into the game. We continued to fight for every ball, with Hannah Cartwright's leaping interceptions a highlight. We played some lovely flowing passing movements, so the final result was disappointing after such a determined performance against strong opposition. Man of the match was Naomi Smale for her excellent movement in the goal third and some awesome shooting.

The Under 15s had a tight game throughout, playing some excellent netball and showing plenty of grit and determination. It was a shame then to lose eventually by just a single goal, but the team spirit was outstanding. The Under 14s took an early lead and never looked back. The team played some impressive open netball, with some fantastic interceptions and passing. Players who caught the eye included Alia Hamaoui and Gussie Hydleman.
