Netball v Wellington

King's dominated the 1st VII fixture from the outset, with Wellington not able to score until well into the third quarter. Player of the match was Alex McKean with some brilliant feeds into the shooters. The 2nds enjoyed a fluent, flowing game, outpacing the opposition from the start. Wellington could never recover, and we ran out 41-5 winners. After a frantic start to the 3rds' match, both sides threw the ball away, with King's ending the first half 11-9 up. We then dominated the 3rd quarter, with Harriet Butterfield shooting well to take us six goals clear. Player of the match was Sophia Warby.

Strong play from both teams made the Under 15s' fixture a tightly fought affair, with King's going into the half-time interval in the lead. However we went three goals down in the third quarter, and despite some excellent play from Alice Davies, Hannah Cartwright and Hattie Johnstone, we couldn't quite claw it back. The Bs played well to come back from 7-3 down. Wellington dominated at the start, but Harriet Mason was excellent throughout, and good shooting by Beccy Jackson led to an exciting 11-10 victory.

The Under 14s played really well, and fought hard right till the end. Wellington proved strong opposition, but there were excellent performances from Martha Gray and Issy Germain. The Bs played well throughout in a 13-7 victory, with Hermione Warmington and Charlotte Parris shooting consistently. Kate Webster was nominated player of the match by the opposition for her dominance in defence.
