Football v QEH Bristol
The 1st XI secured their first victory of the season after Martin Zacherl kept them in the game with two great penalty saves. Charlie Clyde-Smith scored with a cheeky back-heel, and Ross Chadwick was less wasteful than the visitors with his penalty, in a fully deserved 2-1 win. The 2nds finished 1-1 after Josh Brooksbank had scored a beautiful goal into the top left-hand corner from a free-kick. Alex Johnstone and Lenny Koch were outstanding. The 3rds were yet again impressive, in an excellent game that finished in a 2-2 draw.In Bristol the Under 16s turned in another good performance in their convincing 5-0 win. Defence was solid all afternoon, while the midfield and strikers were very effective on the break. They fully deserved their five goals, which came from Luke Gavin, James Gonultas, and a hat-trick from Joe Matthews.
