Third Form Pupil Wins Photography Prize in National Competition
Third Form pupil Jamie Salmons aged 13 has won third place in a national photography competition. In the children’s category, sponsored by The Foyle Foundation, Jamie’s photograph ‘Shoreditch’ appears to show a couple in mid conversation walking behind a vintage car.
Commenting on the photograph, Jaime said:
“I took this picture in Shoreditch, London while my brother was buying something from a nearby shop. I didn't go into the store as this bright red, vintage car caught my eye to the side of me. After I saw the car, I noticed an interesting couple about to walk past. I crouched down low and waited. I took about three shots but I like this one the most as the people in the shot look as if they are arguing, which makes the picture more meaningful in my opinion.”
Jamie’s work is proving popular – he already has over 6k followers on Instagram!
