Successful Season for King's Performance Centre Athletes

Throughout the Michaelmas Term, hockey at King’s College has continued to thrive, with 11 of our pupils taking part in the England Hockey Performance Centre (PC).

Each of the athletes has worked hard to get to where they are today, having been selected through the England Hockey Development Centres and Academy Centres.

The Performance Centre offers a performance-training environment and the centres meet regularly throughout the year to play other performance centres in competitions.

For these competitions, athletes are selected to play in the England Hockey Futures Cup, and it is from here that the athletes are selected for the Under 16 and Under 18 National sides.

Clare Hayes, Director of Hockey said: “We are extremely proud of our hockey here at King’s, where we strive to create an environment in which every player is valued and can reach their potential. Our PC athletes have worked incredibly hard to get where they are in their hockey, and we are very proud of them.”
