Success for King's Golfers

The King’s College golf team has just returned from the Independent Schools Golf Association (ISGA) finals at Royal St George's Golf Club in Kent.

Having qualified as South West champions, our golfers had a superb two days at the prestigious club against the best young golfing talent in Britain.

Taylor Stote had a hugely successful time, finishing four over par to secure sixth place in the country and winning a gold medal.

Adam Shimali and Will Chesterman both qualified into the bronze category on the leader board, helping our team to secure a top 20 finish.

Commenting on their achievements, Head of Golf Phil Lewis said: “Each of the golfers played really well and we are delighted to have done so well. There are a lot of talented young golfers at King’s. It is fantastic that they get the opportunity, as these three did, to play at some of the best courses in England.”
