Primary and Prep XC Relay Event

King’s College recently hosted a cross-country event, involving 248 runners from 23 local primary and prep schools.

Supported by many parents, grandparents and teachers, the two races were staged in a near carnival atmosphere on a sunny afternoon.

The children supported each other enthusiastically and at the end of the very enjoyable sporting occasion, it was teams Parkfield Primary and Taunton Prep who won the races.

Head of cross country at King’s College, Richard Llewellyn-Eaton, who organised the event, said: “It was wonderful seeing so many youngsters enjoying themselves and supporting each other.

“The families were also fantastic, and we hope to see everybody again at the November races.”
