Louis Offered Place in National Children's Orchestra

Third Form pupil, Louis Bennyworth, a fine oboist and a music scholar at King’s College, ended the Michaelmas Term on a high after gaining a place in the prestigious National Children’s Orchestra.

After completing a tough audition process, the talented musician was delighted to receive an offer to join the Main Orchestra as an oboeist in 2018.

The NCO is one of the leading training grounds for future musicians, providing an excellent foundation in orchestral performance and musicianship for musically talented children.

Louis will join the NCO at a very exciting time, with the orchestra celebrating its 40th anniversary in the coming year.

As a member, he will perform at major venues across the UK, including the Barbican and Bridgewater Hall, and will receive top-class guidance from a conductor and professional musicians. He will also have the chance to take part in a variety of residential courses.

In addition, Louis has the opportunity to perform with the NCO Regional Orchestra, who boast an extensive programme of events.
