King's Welcomes the Year of the Fire Rooster
Our annual Chinese New Year supper was an excellent evening last Tuesday. It was the biggest one we have had with over 100 guests, including pupils from King’s Hall and some prospective Chinese pupils visiting King’s for two days.
The dining room looked very festive with all the beautiful decorations and colourful table settings, and the array of food was superb thanks to a great effort from our Catering Team.
We welcomed the Year of the Fire Rooster with three very good speeches: one in Cantonese from Kelvin Sze, another in Mandarin from Joseph Yiu and the English translation from Freddie Cole. The key characteristics of the Fire Rooster are trustworthiness and a strong work ethic, which bode well for the year ahead.
Mrs Wrobel would like to extend special thanks to Kolly Wong and Vanessa Choi for their help with the organisation, as well as thanking all the pupils and staff involved for their input and contribution to making it a very special evening!
