King's Sixth Formers Teach the Importance of Sustainability

On Thursday 9 March, Finlay Hayton and Toby Glazebrook spent the afternoon teaching pupils at King’s Hall about the importance of sustainability.

The Sixth Formers involved the pupils in an interactive presentation, which covered important issues such as energy, food waste, water and raising general awareness around the school. Some of the activities included a quiz on food and energy waste, and the creation of their own school ‘Eco-code’.

The King’s Hall pupils were enthusiastic participants and were pleased to be part of the King’s Sustainability Strategy (KSS). They are now eager to get started on a number of sustainable ideas that will help King’s Hall to become more green.

This forms part of the King’s Sustainability Strategy’s outreach program which involves pupils at King’s College sharing sustainability good practice with other prep schools and community groups within the local area. Finlay and Toby will be visiting Perrott Hill Prep School next term.
